Redesigning an awkward sloping garden
Garden design features: terraced walls with planting, seating nook, oak detailing including oak setts and oak retaining walls, bespoke oak raised beds for cut flowers and mediterranean planting
This garden is designed to create seating areas and routes around a new garden room situated over a metre lower than the surrounding garden. Staggered terracing using timber and stone retaining walls complement the building and are planted within to soften the area and provide pleasing views and immersive seating areas on two levels. Existing mature planting and trees remain or are edited to blend seamlessly with new planting. Pathways in Cotswold gravel and shell mulch are tweaked to flow around the new walls and building.
